Degamo Case: 4 More Suspects Surrender to Authorities

DEGAMO CASE - The Department of Justice (DOJ) has announced that four (4) other suspects have surrendered to the authorities.
On March 4, residents of Negros Oriental lost their governor, Roel Degamo, in an attack on his home in Pamplona. Men in pixelated clothes entered the gates of his compound and laid their plans.
Besides the Governor, his associates and many civilians who were there to ask for help were killed. The mayor of Pamplona, Janice Degamo, his wife, has called the national government for justice after the death of the governor.
Five (5) hours after the attack on the Governor's compound, the authorities arrested three (3) suspects in the northern part of the area. One (1) accused Negros Oriental 3rd District Representative Arnie Teves of being the alleged perpetrator of the assassination of his politician.
Recently, the Department of Justice (DOJ) announced that four (4) other suspects in the Degamo case have been handed over to the authorities. According to a report in ABS-CBN News, Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla announced that the four (4) suspects who turned themselves in are former soldiers.
The suspects were handed over by the military and are expected to be handed over to the Department of Justice. According to Remulla, the suspects showed their release and most of them are no longer working.
"Many of them are no longer working, some of them are helping the registered person, some of them are active duty soldiers helping us to release," said the DOJ secretary. . According to reports, authorities are still looking for two to three more suspects in the Degamo case, but most of the suspects have already been arrested.
